Sound familiar?
The technology works, the plans add up, and still the rollout stalls.
You introduce a new system, automate a process or digitize a way of working. Colleagues drop out, the new system gets avoided and the old way of working keeps resurfacing. You wonder why people don't simply go along with something that is objectively better. The answer rarely lies in the technology itself. Change is a multiplier of every tension that was already there in a team, and anyone who relies only on the logic of the new system misses the emotional side of the transition.
What we do.
Half a day of hands-on work on your own approach. Not theory about change management in general, but a concrete translation to the implementation you are carrying out or preparing right now. You learn to recognize the patterns that cause resistance and you build an approach you can use the day after the course. The session is delivered together with HighGround, our partner in change programmes.
-
01
Recognizing resistance
Discover why logical arguments are rarely enough, and how a message that lands with the team untested provokes resistance instead of avoiding it.
-
02
Balancing push and pull
Build a change story with two movements: what is no longer tenable today, and an appealing picture of where the technology leads.
-
03
Naming the loss
Learn why what people lose weighs up to 2.5 times more emotionally than what they gain, and how to address that explicitly in your communication.
-
04
Testing before you launch
Discover how to test a message with a small, critical audience first, before communicating it broadly to the team.
-
05
Genuinely changing behaviour
Work with the model of competence, motivation and context to understand why informing people alone rarely leads to different behaviour.
-
06
Your own change plan
Translate every insight into a concrete plan for the technology project you are running right now, including an independent sounding board to help you adjust.
